General Terms and
Conditions of Sale

Preamble

These general terms and conditions apply to sales made between Hôtel Les Prés, Domaine de Pigeon, 61400 Saint Hilaire le Châtel (hereinafter referred to as the "Hotel") and its Clients (hereinafter referred to as the "Client" or "Clients").

They are available on the Hôtel Les Prés website at www.hotellespres.com.

These terms and conditions define the terms and conditions under which the Hotel provides its Clients with access to its services, including booking services, available:

Booking

The prices communicated are public, in euros, including taxes and services, except for the tourist tax, which must be paid on-site during the stay.

The price is determined based on the type of room, the booking dates, and the number of nights. Prices are available:

The price agreed upon at the time of booking and paid by the Client is the final price. The Client cannot request a price adjustment for their confirmed booking in the event of subsequent promotions offered by the establishment, whether through its reservation service, its website, or other partner sites.

A credit card number is required when booking. Part or all of the stay may be charged at the time the reservation is confirmed.

Acceptance of General Terms and Conditions of Sale

Any reservation made via the website www.hotellespres.com implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions as well as the specific conditions of sale of the selected rate, expressly mentioned in the rate description at the time of booking. The Client must confirm, by checking a box, that they have read and accepted these terms and conditions and the specific conditions of sale of the selected rate before finalizing their reservation; no reservation is possible without this agreement.

For other booking methods, payment of the first deposit confirms the reservation and implies acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale and cancellation.

If the balance due is not paid by the agreed date, the stay will be considered canceled by the Client, and the terms of sale will apply accordingly.

In the case of payment by bank transfer or credit card, bank fees must be borne by the Client and added to the total amount of the stay.

For direct bookings (on-site or by phone), the Client is informed of the availability of these general terms and conditions of sale on our website in the email they receive with their booking confirmation. Confirming the reservation implies adherence to these terms and full and unconditional acceptance of their provisions.

Modification of Stay

The Client is reminded that, in accordance with Article L. 221-28-12 of the French Consumer Code, they do not have the right of withdrawal provided for in Article L. 221-18 of the same code.

The specific conditions of sale of the selected rate, accepted by the Client, outline the terms for canceling and/or modifying the reservation.

All requests for date changes must be submitted in writing to the reservation department. Such changes will only take effect once a confirmation email has been received from the Hotel.

Any request to modify the dates of the stay less than 7 days before the initially planned date will follow the same conditions as those outlined below in the event of cancellation.

Stay Interruption and Unused Services

Any stay interrupted by the Client or any services booked but not consumed/used by the Client for any reason—including medical reasons or force majeure—will not be eligible for a refund. The full agreed price will be charged.

Cancellation of Stay

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the scheduled arrival date, with a refund of the deposit paid.

If canceled less than 7 days before the scheduled arrival date, the price of one night will be charged to your credit card. If canceled less than 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date, the total cost of the stay will be charged to your credit card.

No-shows will be charged, and the remainder of the stay will be automatically canceled without further notice from the Client.

Cancellations must be made by email and will take effect once a confirmation email has been received.

These conditions apply to individual bookings. For corporate events or full-property bookings, a confirmed reservation is final and non-refundable.

Late Payment Penalties

In case of late payment, penalties based on the interest rate applied by the European Central Bank to its most recent refinancing operation, increased by 10 percentage points.

A fixed penalty of €40 for recovery costs, as provided for in Article L.441-10 of the French Commercial Code, when the Client is a business.

If payment is not received within 15 days following a formal notice sent by SAS LES PRES, an additional sum equivalent to 20% of the total amount of the invoice (including VAT) will be due as a penalty clause. All banking, legal, and collection fees will also be borne by the Client.

Special Cases for Corporate Bookings

A quote is issued: validation of the quote must be accompanied by payment of a 40% deposit to confirm the reservation. This deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation.

  • A second deposit of 30% is required 7 days before the start of the stay.
  • For cancellations within the last 7 days, both deposits will not be refunded.

Tourist tax: Payable on-site.

A credit card number is required for booking. Part or all of the stay may be charged at the time of confirmation. Payment can also be made by bank transfer. The reservation is confirmed upon receipt of payment.

The remaining balance will be requested upon arrival and can be paid by credit card (TPE) or cash (Euros). Additional services must be settled at the end of the stay.

Length of Stay

Check-ins begin at 4:00 PM, and check-outs must be completed by 11:00 AM. The agreed-upon arrival and departure times must be respected; otherwise, additional fees equivalent to the rate of an extra night will apply.

An earlier check-in and/or late check-out may sometimes be possible depending on availability. Guests may, of course, leave their luggage if needed.

Under no circumstances may the Client claim a right to remain in the premises beyond the reserved stay.

Cancellation by the Hotel

The reservation contract may be terminated by the Hotel without liability for damages to the Client in the event of force majeure or any circumstances rendering the Hotel's operation impossible. Any deposit paid by the Client will be refunded.

Stay Conditions & Responsibility

The Client agrees to provide accurate and truthful information when completing the reservation form.

At the time of booking, the Client will be asked to provide the number of guests (adults and children) occupying the room, as well as their names. The number of guests may not exceed the maximum capacity of the room under any circumstances.

All guests staying at the Hotel must present valid identification upon check-in. Failure to do so may result in the Hotel refusing the room and/or canceling the reservation without refund, in accordance with the terms of sale for the selected rate.

Pets are not allowed in the Hotel.

Extras consumed by the Client must be paid upon departure at reception, either by credit card or in cash.

SAS Les Prés is not responsible for the personal belongings of Clients. Guests are advised not to bring valuables or leave personal items unattended.

The Client agrees to respect both private and communal spaces and will be held liable for any damage caused during their stay. Behavior contrary to public order or good morals may lead to immediate expulsion from the Hotel without any refund.

Any damage caused to the room or communal areas by the Client or their party must be reported to reception and may be charged to the Client to cover the cost of repairs.

Smoking is strictly prohibited within the Hotel premises. In accordance with French public health laws, smoking in the Hotel may result in fines or judicial proceedings. Penalties equivalent to the room’s reserved rate may also apply if smoking restrictions are violated.

Photographs and Intellectual Property

The photographs displayed on the website are non-contractual. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of photographs, graphics, and texts illustrating the Hotel’s offerings, variations may occur due to changes in furnishings or renovations. The Client cannot make claims based on these variations.

In accordance with intellectual property laws, the use and/or reproduction of any content related to Hôtel Les Prés, including its décor and characteristic elements, is strictly prohibited. Violation of this prohibition constitutes counterfeiting and may result in legal and criminal penalties.

Guest Conduct

The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry or expel, without refund, any guests whose attire is indecent, neglected, or intended to conceal their face (Law No. 2010-1192 of October 11, 2010). Guests exhibiting disruptive, intoxicated, or inappropriate behavior, or engaging in conduct contrary to hygiene, good morals, or public order, may also be refused entry or expelled.

Appropriate attire is required in the Hotel's restaurant and public areas.

Access to the Hotel may be subject to internal regulations, as well as specific health and safety measures. The Client is required to review these policies before booking. No refund or credit will be provided in cases where non-compliance with these policies prevents the Hotel from fulfilling its services.

Clients are expected to treat the staff of Hôtel Les Prés with respect and courtesy. Any verbal or physical abuse, racist remarks, or harassment will result in immediate expulsion without refund.
